| EPIC TRAILQUEST |
The next Epic Trailquest is on 26th June at Tebay. Registration will be at the Cross Keys Inn, Tebay. See you all there!

We will be using the SPORTident equipment which means you will be able to pick up your results on the day. If you hang around for the prize giving you will also be able to find out if you are a winner.

Epic Trailquests are a series of trailquest events based around the South Lakes and Yorkshire Dales. These events aim to test your navigation and biking skills if you are a keen trailquester or simply offer a fun day out. Epic Trailquests aim to choose locations that offer all our participants great riding in beautiful locations and an opportunity to win some excellent prizes.
A trailquest is orienteering on a mountain bike where 20 to 30 control sites of varying values are positioned alongside bridleways, byways or forestry trails. The aim is to collect as many points as possible within an allocated time. A map is issued at the start of the event with the check points marked on. You can choose the route you take depending on your navigation skills and biking ability. The route can be as easy or as hard as you like, you then have a maximum time to complete the challenge, Epic Trailquests are 3hr events but you can complete the challenge in any time you like as long as it is under 3hrs. Solos and pairs can enter the event in our seven categories. |

Staveley is the gateway to the Kentmere Valley which is home to some great single track, fab downhills and undulating bridleways. If you are fairly new to Trailquests and biking this will be a great one to boost your confidence. If you are a seasoned quester then there will be no stopping you. A great one to end the winter series! |

The Torver Epic Trailquest was a great success! The course was challenging one and dry weather graced the event. Alan Goldsmith, winner of the men’s Vets 40-49 took the highest score of the day coming in at 299. Kevin Hodgson came in close with 293, leading the Men’s 17-39 category. Anne Plant lead the ladies coming first with a fantastic 235 points. The Super Vets Men was the most popular this weekend, Henry Syska took the lead with 263 points followed by Dave Watson and Mike Jewell with 260 points. A great day was had by all and we look forward to seeing you all on Saturday April 10th in Staveley. |

It was a great day with no rain in sight for a change instead there was just some snow to tackle for those that braved The Calf. This is an epic climb but most riders went for it to get the big points. We had some new trailquesters come along which is always great to see. The familiar faces rose to the challenge and as usual the Vet Male category was in close contention, this time Andy Conn came out on top with 350 points, Mike Toyn second with 331 and Dave Hetherington on 326. Jill Eccelston and Sharon Mcdonald led the womens category with 189 points. Thanks to everyone that entered. See you in on 21st March! |

We had over 70 competitors turn out for a great day on Sunday. There were some great scores in all the categories. Mark McPhilips had the best score of the day with 418 points winning the Male 17 - 39. Maggie McPhillips won the Female 17 - 39 with a score of 340. The competition was very close between the Male 40 - 49 but Alex Pilington come out on top with another great score of 405. Check out the rest of the scores in the results page. |

It may have been rubbish weather but there was still a great turn out for the Hawkshead Trailquest. The course was tough and as we expected no one managed to get to every checkpoint however there were some great scores.
